Years ago, the internet was not nearly as productive as it is now. People nowadays use the internet for a number of things and almost anything is found on the internet. This article talks about how women arent tech saavy and therefore struggle to voice their opinions. I feel as though this article compares well with my previous blog post. This article being written years ago, shows what internet usage was like back then and Ive compared it to the other article I read. I think women have come a long way with using the internet among other things. women are developing and growing in the technology world incredibly fast. I think some men and some companies are very intimidated by this growing number. Women can ultimately do all the duties known to man kind whereas men still struggle to do house work and other things that only women used to do. As women are learning and developing in different aspects, men are not as capable. They say God created men first because every masterpiece has a rough draft. Women are earning higher job opportunities and working along side men and I believe that is intimidating to many organizations and bruises the male ego. Once women are able to do everything possible, men will feel useless to complete their duties. I think women can be strong and independent if they want to be and no person or group of people can tell them otherwise.

The Hashtag Is Mitier Than The Sword
This article had a lot of insight on how the social media networks help and work with women and womens rights. Not only does social networking help womens rights but also different organizations and campaigns around the world. The article states that people have been using social media in a positive manner to quickly circulate information knowing how many people use social media sites. They have discovered that by posting information they want seen it is much faster and easier to post it online. Many people have twitter accounts and facebook and these two major sites have allowed many people to voice their opinions and get noticed. The Kony project was one project that was posted all over facebook and it was a campaign that was to stop children from being abused and taken advantage of for negative military purposes. This project was a simple youtube video that was posted and shared and got millions of people involved in supporting the cause. The article however, talks about a major issue with Planned Parenthood. It was said that the Susan G Komen Foundation was no longer willing to fund planned parenthood. As people began hearing this, they voiced their opinions on different sites and all together became noticed very quickly. By posting online, people began supporting planned parenthood with donations and within 24 hours approximately 400,000 dollars was donated. As the foundation was informed of this, they overturned their decision on defunding and agreed to continue funding planned parenthood. I think twitter being an up and coming social media site has changed more than facebook has. Twitter has allowed anyone to make an account including news stations and reporters. This allows true information to circulate rather than false information. People use hashtags to make something important known. Using a hashtag allows people to access all twitter users who have also discussed the same topic. This gets attention quickly and spreads even quicker. Campaigns have been using twitter to get noticed. A major use of twitter recently was for the presidential debates and such. People are voicing opinions and making it clear what they feel about each candidate. These sites work to bring people together but also to let people take a stand on issues they feel strong about and make positive changes.

Troopers Presentation
After listening to all the information the troopers presented I never realized how easily we overlook certain aspects of life. I understood everything they were saying because lets face it, its not the first time many of us have heard about the negative factors in all the social networking. I do however think a lot of the times people dont realize how easily their information can circulate to strangers. The internet has always been dangerous but I believe as people get older they realize the bad things that can come of social networking. I think the people who are highly at risk are the younger teens. They are not fully aware of what can happen and they easily put up their information for others to see. I personally keep all my information private and have only used social networking sites to keep in touch with people. I see no point in putting personal information because the people in your life already know those things about you. Younger kids are at a point where they feel the need to post pictures and anything they want because they like the attention. Girls like the attention from guys and guys like the attention from girls. I think the troopers had some valuable information that we can relay to younger siblings. I like how they go around and make presentations to students and kids. The most interesting part of the presentation was when they were discussing how enhanced the police department's technology is. They were explaining how when a boy went missing they could come up with a picture of what he would look like years later. Also, it was interesting that they could find almost any website no matter where it exists. I think its a good thing that police departments take internet usage so seriously. It is definitely necessary and I think some people are naive to how corrupting the internet can be.
Rihanna Vs Chris Brown
Recently there was an interview on Oprah where Rihanna spoke about her life as a rising music icon and also talked about her past and darkest moments. It is known that a few years ago Rihanna and singer Chris Brown were in a committed relationship. Things took a heavy dark turn when the tabloids had announced that Chris Brown had beat Rihanna causing multitudes of physical harm. As the story kept turning up, both Rihanna and Chris Brown's music careers have been roller coaster rides. Many of her fans began hating him and vice versa. Some people argue that she deserved it while others argue there is no circumstance in which a man should harm a woman. After some time, both their careers began heading towards somewhat normal and they were no longer in the tabloids. During her interview with Oprah, Rihanna gets emotional when talking about ex bf Chris Brown. She explains that she feels that he was mentally ill or unstable and that was the reasoning behind his actions. She spoke about how when you care about someone so deeply it is hard to see them in such a state and loving the person you stay by their side through bad and good. I don't think she deserved what happened to her at all. I do believe that people will do crazy and irrational things while in love and it is difficult to see someone you care about in such a terrible state of mind. I don't think she should have stuck by his side. I think she was hoping for the best in the end and she probably never would have thought he would do such a thing. To think that their relationship survived as long as it did shows that it was a very healthy relationship for the most part. I think when she noticed things taking a turn for the bad, she should have given the relationship some space but who am I to judge her on that. Some people react and handle things in different ways than others. She claimed on Oprah that she does still care about Chris and that she has left the past in the past. I think she signifies a very strong woman who can still stand tall despite everything that's happened.
Baghdad Burning
As I began reading Baghdad Burning, I started trying to analyze the woman. I noticed and picked out the way she spoke about her life and how she described the environment around her. She seemed very brave and blunt. She speaks her mind even though there could be severe consequences. I also noticed that at times she can be very sarcastic. As she goes on with her posts of complaints and rants, her sarcasm becomes funny. There was one part that had me laughing. When she spoke about the emails she was receiving for her blog from the people who have read it, she goes on to talk about how some people are reading her blog and trying to understand her perspective or her life while others are full of criticism and anger. "It's great to get questions and differing opinions- but please be intelligent about it, and above all, creative- if I want to hear what Fox News has to say, I'll watch it." She's witty and smart and holds back at no costs.
